Principal, Laurie Blazek is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, CDFA™ and trained mediator, specializing in providing financial and analytical services for both collaborative and non-collaborative divorce situations. A CDFA's role is to help clients understand how decisions made during divorce impact their financial future. - Provide financial education to parties with less experience or knowledge in this area
- Collect and organize documents relating to the family's assets, liabilities, income and expenses
- Prepare the marital balance sheet
- Prepare future budgets
- Assess each party's needs post-divorce and suggest appropriate settlement options
- Determine which assets and liabilities are marital and which are non-marital
- In cases where marital and non-marital assets have been commingled, trace the assets to determine what portion is marital versus non-marital

- Advise on how to divide assets and liabilities in a way that meets each person's needs and illustrate the results of different settlement options
